TODAY’S THEME

First Reading: 1 Kings 17: 10-18. In a time of famine a widow shows great faith in God’s word.
Second Reading: Hebrews 9: 24-28. Christ offered himself completely to God to win our salvation.
Gospel: Mark 12: 38-44. In the pennies of those who are poor Jesus sees the integrity of faith.

VOCATIONS: “Out of her poverty she has put in everything she had.” Will you respond with generosity should the Lord choose you for priesthood or the consecrated life? Call your vocations director or visit www.priestsforscotland.org.uk.

CHRISTMAS FAYRE: will take place on SATURDAY 21st November 2009. Stalls will include Bric-a-Brac, Tombola, Bottle Stall, Books, DVD’s, and many others. Please hand in any donations for stalls to the Sacristy or to the Chapel House. Money raised will go toward a new roof.

NOVEMBER LISTS: are available at the back of the Church. Please uplift as you enter or leave the church. They will be placed on the altar during the month of November and one Mass each day will be offered for all those whose names are contained in the lists. Offerings will be removed before being placed on the altar.

Tuesday 10th: Memorial of St. Leo the Great.
Wednesday 11th: Memorial of St. Martin of Tours.
Thursday 12th: Memorial St. Josaphat.
